This model features a seamless brass shell that is machine drawn and spun to create a perfectly round drum with an unrivaled sound.  Just like many other high end snares, this drum has a beaded center which helps create a sharper response without cutting down on the drums overall volume and resonance. The shell is coated in a black nickel finish while the brass hardware, and tube lugs give this drum a classy, timeless look.

This drum also comes stock with die-cast hoops which help give it a sharp, focused sound.  The added weight of the hoop also helps keep the drum in tune longer as well as create a well-defined rim-shot and side sticking. As if all of this wasn't enough this drum also comes with a P-86 Millennium throw-off for steady, precise snare settings. The P-86 was the successor to the hugely popular Ludwig P-85, and can be found on many other popular snare drums such as the Acrolites, the Classic Maple Exotics, and the Legacy Edition.
