Over the years it has undergone many incarnations and this perennial classic has returned once again. The body of the DT420's is crafted from finest Mahogany  and dressed in a classic Transparent cherry finish. This latest incarnation also features a 1 piece, set-in Mahogany Destroyer neck with a 22 jumbo fret Rosewood Fretboard, making this guitar the ideal choice for high velocity shredding and facilitates smooth and effortless note bending. To further enhance the aesthetics, the DT420's bound Rosewood fingerboard boasts Pearl/Abalone block position inlays.

The DT420 is equipped with a pair of Ibanez Classic Elite humbucking pickups. These pickups feature ceramic magnets and will provide you with the perfect blend of power and tone. Both pickups employ a designated volume control knob and share a tone control knob to shape your tone to perfection.  Players will love the Sure Grip III control knobs for no-slip control. The DT420 features chrome hardware including chrome tuning machines and a chrome Tight-Tune Bridge and Tailpiece that provides improved transfer of string vibration and tuning stability.
