Based on the legendary, iconic RG body style, the Ibanez RGIX20FESM Electric Guitar sports a stunning Spalted Maple top on a Basswod body that is heavily contoured for maximum comfort. The double cutaway design features extra-deep scoop cuts on body's lower horn make it easy to access all 24 jumbo frets.
The RGIX20FESM also gives you a fast-playing 3-piece Maple/Bubinga Nitro Wizard Premium neck with a 25.5" scale that offers comfortable string tension even when using lighter gauge strings with no sacrifice of playability. This will enable you to maintain proper tension even in a low-tuned set-up. The Wizard neck boasts a thin profile, and is built for speed, playability and comfort. The ultra-flat 15.75'' radius facilitates quick, comfortable playing action.
Electronics on the RGIX20FESM feature a pair of metal-approved EMG pickups that are voiced to deliver clear and punchy tone, without any muddiness. An EMG 60 neck pickup packs plenty of output with a balance of tones that is classic-thick; boosted mids, big lows, and fat highs, while the EMG 81 bridge pickup gives detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut, and fluid sustain. In addition to the single master volume and 3-way switch, the RGIX20FESM is equipped with a kill switch that provides easy access to a manually controlled strobe effect. The Cosmo Black hardware features Ibanez's Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge, designed to provide optimal transfer of each string's vibration. Case not included.
