5-String double bass

This semi-solid 3/4 double bass is manufactured in Europe and features a fingerboard made from blackwood, which in terms of sound behaviour, look and playing feel is a suitable alternative (equal) to ebony.

The blackwood used in the making of this instrument is harvested from plantation pinewood (Pinus radiata), and has been used here to support the preservation of natural ebony resources and protect rainforests.

All our acoustic double basses are individually set and adjusted in our workshop in accordance to your desired playing situation and style (jazz, classical, rockabilly....).
